With its exposed fingertip design, this pick lets you touch the string as you play for greater control and a natural feel. You'll also get an increase in volume.
Unlike your natural fingernails, that can break or wear thin, Finger-Tones work like the perfect nail: always ready to use and maintenance-free. Made of Nickel-silver, they will hold up to frequent use and they are lightweight and non-bulky.

Fingerpicks
ProPik fingerpicks are designed to be completely adjustable, so it is one size fits all. We also offer a Small & Medium line of picks, specifically designed for players with smaller hands.
Thumbpicks
When it comes to thumbpicks, most players will use medium or large thumbpicks, depending on the size of their hands and again, these are adjustable to you and your style. Many average size players even prefer using Large thumb picks and adjusting them down.

Nickel
Nickel is the most popular choice and is close to the brightness of stainless steel, but just a hair warmer. Many people prefer nickel because they are more adjustable than steel, which by its nature is much harder to adjust.
Brass
Brass is the warmest of the 3 metal choices.
Stainless Steel
The brightest of the three metals offered (stainless steel, nickel, brass). Due to the way they are manufactured and buffed to a high sheen, there is also less drag on the string, thus producing less pick noise and accents the brightness further.
Blade Type
#1 blades are the most narrow and #3 blades are the widest. The #1 and #2 blades are the most popular, with the #2 being a hair more popular.
Blade Angle
Over the years, players have made all kinds of alterations to their picks (and their technique) to make them work better. Angled blades allow you to hit the strings squarely with minimized finger movement, so you get a boost of tone, speed, volume, and reduced pick noise.
pretty good overall
These open fingerpicks work MUCH better than the traditional style of metal fingerpicks. They allow some actual feel of the strings and, with them, I am finally actually learning to fingerpick! (I tried multiple times in the past with the traditional fingerpicks but eventually gave up every time). So, compared to old National style, they are much better. But, I have to say, they tend to have a bit of that same raspy sound as the old style fingerpicks, but not as severe. I guess that is to be expected, given that it is metal picks scraping over steel strings. I also bought some of the delrin fingerpicks (the Freedom picks) from you but they were way too small. I need to order the large size I suppose. Overall, these are good product. Thank you!
Not a typical finger picker...
I am a self taught guitar player. For years I have played with only my thumb and first finger. In an effort to play a bit louder, I have been trying out different thumb and finger picks. Pro Pik has been the answer with an important caveat. I wear the finger pick backwards. This allows me to cleanly pick the strings rather than scratching along them. My technique could be called terrible, but I prefer to think of it as unique. Every time I play with this and a Pro Pik thumb pick, I gain clarity and confidence. Thank you so much for these beautifully made pieces.
My new favorite fingerpicks
After trying many different brands of fingerpicks, and finding them either too uncomfortable, too loose or tight fitting, or lacking tonally, the ProPik EC split wrap are---for me---just right. I would definitely recommend trying these if you are a reluctant fingerpick wearer like me.
